Gunda Wörlein - Resort Operations Manager
Born and grown up in beautiful Frankenland, Germany, Gunda also has got Persian roots. She worked for several years in the hotel industry, before she decided to discover the world.
Love finally brought her to Thailand, where she also fell in love with the country and its people. So she decided to stay longer and discovered her passion for the beautiful underwater world. Gunda managed different beach bars for resorts in Thailand. In 2010, she turned her hobby into her job, became a Dive Instructor and worked in the diving business. After a while, Gunda packed her suitcase again and found herself on a beautiful island in the Maldives.
In 2014, Southeast Asia called her back and that was the first time, Gunda discovered the beauty of Raja Ampat. Because she didn't want to leave behind her old job, but also wanted to keep on diving, Gunda decided to return to Germany, to start her studies in tourism management, so she could combine her two passions. Additionally, she worked in the hotel and catering service.
Back in the German everyday life, Gunda could never forget the beauty of Raja Ampat, the sun and of course the sea and its creatures. After completing her Bachelor Professional CCI of Tourism, the decision to leave Germany again was made quickly. Pulau Pef just seemed to be the perfect place for her new stage of life and since April 2017, she calls Pulau Pef her home. Here she finally can combine all of her passions: diving, tourism industry and catering service!
What a luck, because Gunda simply fits here perfectly!
Gunda speaks German, English, Persian and little Indonesian.
