Did you know??? "PULAU PEF IBU KRU" is a very rare species living in the area of Raja Ampat. Although they are looking similar their habits are different, but they all belong to the same family of R4D - living on Pulau Pef. Some of the family members are very good swimmers, they look like dive guides and snorkeling guides. They all belong to the smaller family of sheriff Arif and they all have funny names like father Silas, holy Desmon, smiling Jonas, photographic Tulus, marinated Timo or snorkeling Raimon (not Simon). Because they do not like to move far in the ocean, they go with boats of neckless Risyard, little Alfret and big brother Anas. Another small family (a very important one) which does not like to get wet are working under magician Ali. Sometimes it is not possible to see Wiwi, Vika, Rahmet and Yawi, because they are so fast and quiet. Another special Tribe of the "PULAU PEF IBU KRU" is not visible at all. Only cool Andy is sometimes around, but his crew with good old Om Jen and drifting Loji are invisible. A very special side of the whole family is the Team of woody woodpecker Pak Busro. They all look precious as corals and are responsible for all the constructions that the housekeeping and the allrounders have to keep in shape. The whole and the big family of the "PULAU PEF IBU KRU" only survives because of IBU Maya. She looks like an Octopussy with many, many tentacles and they all have names like Yanniek, Rolly, Meimeimei, Bintang Nova, smiling Doris, speaking Jessica, far away Monika and Caroline. This Octopussy keeps the family together and reproduces new family members in a very special way. They meet with guests at the Gayuh bar place and every Tuesday they take a special drink and... the new family members of the famous PULAU PEF IBU KRU are born! If you cannot believe that this family really exists, just go to R4D and have a very close look. You would not get disappointed, believe me. DUGONG - Simon

Our third trip here, and it was wonderful! The Staff continues to be aware of our needs – even anticipates them – and us as such, truly treats us like family (or even better). Our dive guide Steward has the eyes of an eagle and the patience of a saint. It had been 3 ½ years since we had dived and there was a lot of relearning to do. Steward diagnosed the problem that I had with my BCD and that was a relief. Because of his care, knowledge & ability to know what we needed, my husband renewed his interest in diving. Happy, happy, happy! Our visit to Kabui was great! The kids were so delightful, and we felt welcomed to their village. It was nice to see Herman (former R4D dive guide). And I felt this wonderful connection to a young woman named Yani (my nickname) and a little boy named Johnny. He has to work on his English, I will work on my Bahasa and see him again. So … thank you for all the sights, sites, savors and such a wonderful time. No wrist watches Pef standard time is the best time of all. Hope to see you again. Janice & Mark
Thank you, Maya and the Pef community for your wonderful & generous hospitality. Thank you especially for the extra effort to ensure that non-divers experienced the wonder and thrill of the Raja Ampat reefs, the tranquility of kayaking the mangroves, and the peace of ocean & bird sounds. Our guide Tulus took such good care of us, and we will always remember his gentle spirit and confident, skilled support. Many, many thanks for an amazing holiday. Annie & Laurie
Once again, we are so sad to leave Pef. Each time our thoughts go to figuring out a way to stay in Raja Ampat. Everyone has truly done an amazing job at taking care of all of our needs. We have always told everyone that this is our most favorite place on planet earth. Please continue to be true to the vision of this special place and these wonderful people. With all our love and respect. Anne & Norm
Magical place, including the architecture pathways, reefs & views, but especially the magnificent staff – their kindness, music and delicious meals. Fabulous experience in every way! With much affection. Paul & Sarah

What an amazing week we have had here with you all! Maya, you have done an incredible job for having this idea of the Raja4Divers resort, collecting all your great and friendly staff and making this dream come true! I think I have never felt so welcome in any holiday! Wonderful place, the sea, the fish! Hope to see you all again some day!

Apart from great diving, what make Raja4Divers unique is the smiling staff and the genuinely friendly interaction between staff and guests, that we have not experienced anywhere else. There is nothing pretentious in this place.

Fred and I were enchanted by your beautiful place and always present graciousness. Clearly you have created a true family here, such that each person overflows with their own happiness and contentment, sharing it with each of us. Every staff member was wonderful, but we were especially lucky to spend time with Steward, Mei and Barbara. So delightful! Thank you for a lovely Raja Ampat experience!
