The Situation at Raja4Divers
Update 10 March, 2022
Unfortunately, international tourists are still not permitted to visit Raja Ampat for the time being.
We hope that this will change soon, as currently the restrictions are changing fast and that we will be able to receive guests in a not so distant future. Due to the remoteness of Raja Ampat, our area may be considered a relatively safe place regarding the Corona virus. Moreover, there are no other people living on Pulau Pef except us, and the resort consists of only 10 detached guest bungalows.
We are also very happy to announce that all of our employees have already received their third shot of the Corona vaccine (Booster)!
Additionally, we have taken the necessary precautions to ensure your safety with us. You will read more about this as soon as we know when the first guests will be able to come and what measures will be appropriate at that time.
We are ready to welcome our guests again as soon as international travel bans are lifted.
Our apologies go out to all who had to and will still have to cancel their trip due to the restrictions.
Even though the current situation is producing a growing financial loss for the resort, we are still committed to our employees.
They remain employed and we continue to pay their health insurance so that they and their families are covered in case of illness.
However, in order to make sure the company will continue to exist, all our employees had to accept substantial and gradually rising salary cuts, depending on their salary level, as well as a considerable reduction of their holiday allowance.
We are very grateful to still receive a lot of understanding from our staff and are doing everything we can not to disappoint them.
We remain positive about the future and thank you very much for your understanding and your wonderful support.
Please take care of yourself and your loved ones!
Big hug and best wishes from Raja Ampat,
Maya Hadorn
Managing Director
