Yanniek Andriani - Regulatory Affairs Manager
Yanniek originates from Malang in Java. She has an infectious, charming personality coupled with boundless energy and a strong character.
From an early age, she was exposed to the service industry via the family catering business and learned a great deal about working with people and preparing delicious traditional treats. For several years she worked as "Excecutive Secretary" for the German company "Bayersdorf" in Java, where she got in touch with western ideas and perceptions. In search of a challenge, she found herself managing a resort in Raja Ampat for a considerable time. She inevitably acquired an understanding of the people and cultures of the area and steadily grew very fond of the beautiful islands of Raja Ampat. During this time, she gained an excellent reputation for her conscientiousness, efficiency and reliability in dealing with local government. Yanniek plays a vital role in the Official Affairs of the company. Her strength lies in public relations and she is constantly hard at work building a healthy network between Raja4Divers, the authorities and local communities. Yanniek is well versed in the Indonesian legal system and she is familiar with dealing with local customs - she is an indispensable intermediary. Curious to see the underwater wonders of Raja Ampat, she completed a discover dive on the house reef of Pulau Pef and enjoyed it immensely. Yanniek speaks Javanese, Indonesian and English. |
Yanniek:
"Being the first team member of Raja4Divers is a very valuable experience for me. Taking care of the company establishment documents, travelling through the seas from village to village and dealing with costumary leaders and villagers was a big challenge for me.
When I stepped on Pulau Pef the first time, it was a wild beautiful jungle... We all worked hard, we built this beautiful resort, helped each other, learned, we have grown and we experienced ups and downs together. To see what Pulau Pef became, is the greatest pride for me.
Pef is my second home and the people living here are my family."
